The IIEF questionnaire (International Index of Erectile Function) is an internationally recognized questionnaire used to assess men’s erectile function and sexual satisfaction. What is IIEF?
It was developed in 1997 and is used both in clinical practice and research.
The purpose is to measure the degree of erectile dysfunction as well as other aspects of sexual function.
It is self-reported, which means that the patient completes the questionnaire themselves
1. How confident are you that you can get and sustain an erection?
2. How difficult was it to maintain your erection during intercourse until the end of intercourse?
3. When you had erections during sexual stimulation, how often were your erections hard enough for penetration?
4. When you attempted to have intercourse, how often was it satisfying for you?
5. During sexual intercourse, how often were you able to maintain your erection until the end of intercourse?

Why Erectile Problems Happen?
Erections depend on healthy blood flow, strong nerves, balanced hormones, and overall well-being. When something interferes with these, erectile difficulties can occur. The main reasons are:
Blood flow in (arteries) problem – Not enough blood reaches the penis.
Blood trapping (veins) problem – Blood flows in, but leaks out too quickly (venous leakage).
Nerve-related – Nerve damage from surgery, injury, or conditions like diabetes.
Mind/emotions – Stress, anxiety, or depression can interfere with erections.
Hormones/other – Low testosterone or other medical conditions.
